Kimberly's Boudoir Experience

1. What made you choose Satin Dauls Boudoir?

It is something I have always wanted to do! I felt like the photographers I heard of doing this were either male or just not my vibe. I still don't know how I stumbled into Brianne's VIP group on Facebook. I'll say fate. Once I figured out what she did, her mission, passion, that she was local and a woman of color. I was sold!

2. What were you nervous about going into your session?

What were you nervous about going into your session? Not being sexy enough. I am a girly girl and love to dress up. However, sexy especially in pictures is not something I had ever succeeded at before.

3. What was your favorite part of the experience?

What was your favorite part of the experience? Honestly the overall experience was everything..not to mention, kicking it with Brianne. I did not want to leave!

4. How do you feel now that you’ve completed the session?

It not only helped me bring my sexy back but it restored my confidence. I also use my experience with Brianne to encourage and inspire other women to do something for them.

5. Would you recommend Satin Dauls Boudoir to others?

Absolutely!! One of my girls has already had her shoot and I'm constantly telling others about it. I cannot wait to do another one in the future.

There’s something so powerful about flowers—how they push through the soil, endure the storms, and bloom even after the harshest seasons. That same resilience, beauty, and transformation are exactly what came to mind when my client, a breast cancer survivor, finally stepped in front of my camera for her boudoir session. She had waited for this moment, choosing to book her shoot after completing a deeply personal part of her journey—getting her floral bra tattoo. This tattoo wasn’t just about covering her scars; it was about turning them into something beautiful, something hers. It transformed the story her body told, intertwining survival with art in the most breathtaking way. For her, the tattoo wasn’t just ink—it was a reclamation. After everything her body had been through—the surgeries, the healing, the emotional weight of survival—this tattoo became a symbol of her strength, her femininity, and her choice to bloom again. Instead of seeing reminders of pain in the mirror, she now saw a garden of resilience. And when she stepped into the studio, wearing nothing but confidence and those beautifully inked flowers, it was like watching someone step fully into their power. Every pose, every glance in the mirror, every moment was a testament to the fact that she had survived—and she was thriving.
